In His Steps is a dance school with two locations in southeastern Virginia that offers a wide variety of classes and techniques brought together in honor and service to the Lord, Jesus Christ...
...Started by Kelly McCormack and Melissa Opie in Williamsburg between 2004-2005 as a ministry for homeschooled children, we have since expanded to New Kent as well. What was once a group of five girls in the Opie’s living room has been blessed to reach so many more lives over the years. Our recitals have grown to larger audience productions and we have added new areas of study with classes for all ages and skill levels. Through it all, our main focus remains on teaching our students to express their love for the Lord through motion and dance.

Robin Harcum (New Kent)
started dancing in 2003 as a kindergartner when In His Steps was held in Kayoko Opie's living room. Her love of dancing and her love for the Lord has been nurtured by In His Steps and Kaleidoscope Camp, so she has always dreamed of being a dance teacher and a camp counselor. In 2014 both of these dreams came true. Robin now enjoys sharing her faith through dance, and helping girls grow in their faith at camp. She's also a student leader and teacher at Footprints Dance Ministry and she has recently begun taking voice lessons as well. Her favorite band is Anthem Lights and she loves most anything to do with The Lord of the Rings.

Sarah Jessee(Williamsburg) started dancing when she was three years old. At the age of five, she started dancing with In His Steps. In the fall of 2018, she became a teacher. It is her joy to teach her students how to glorify the Lord through worship dance. Some of the many things that bring her joy are spending time with her family, hanging at the beach, and watching sunrises!
